Debra Johnson-King is Vice President of Banking & Economic Development for Millennium Group Worldwide, Inc., as well as the Executive Director of The Housing Foundation of America, a HUD certified housing counseling agency, specializing in foreclosure prevention and loan modification (loss mitigation). Prior to joining Millennium, Debra co-founded and served as President and CEO of Johnson Financial Group, Inc., a financial services firm, headquartered in Miami, Florida. Debra has also worked in corporate America for major financial institutions such as Washington Mutual, SunTrust Bank & Mortgage, and Helm Bank to name a few, as well as being a civilian trainer for the United States Marine Corp both in the USA and at bases around the world.
The Group provides financial services such as mortgages, financial planning, home buyer counseling, and financial literacy education services to individuals, faith-based organizations, corporations and non-profit organizations. She consults regularly with executives from a variety of fields to help create financial solutions to the existing debt related problems plaguing our communities. In addition to being a consultant to various financial institutions, and community development organizations, Debra speaks regularly at faith based organizations, and churches, delivering seminars in the areas of financial self improvement, economic empowerment, multiple streams of income, foreclosure prevention, loan modification (loss mitigation) and home ownership. Additionally, Debra has extensive experience in real estate development and project management, having facilitated projects of up to 700 units.
Debra serves on numerous community based committees such as The Broward County Housing Task Force, and is a Director of The South Florida Board of Realtist, President of the Women's Council of The South Florida Board of Realtist, member and co-chair of Budget & Finance Committee of the National Association of Real Estate Brokers, NAMB, FAMB, National Association of Professional Women, to name a few. She teaches classes and conducts financial empowerment seminars and workshops geared at helping people make money, save money and get out of debt and is currently writing a book on the subject.
Debra holds a Masters degree in Business Administration. She is also a licensed Mortgage Broker, a Master Trainer, Certified Professional Communicator, Certified Housing Counselor and Foreclosure/Loan Modification (loss mitigation) specialist. Debra has over 18 years experience working and training in the financial services and real estate fields.
